Students Question Evers on Foxconn Environmental Impact

Three students from Parker High School in Janesville had the chance to learn about state governmental issues Wednesday from the head of Wisconsin government. The students, who are Madison Seminar scholars, met with Gov. Tony Evers in his Capitol office Wednesday and had the chance to ask him about issues as part of a project for their Advanced Placement United States Government and Politics class.

Two (of the) students in the program are focusing on veterans’ homelessness and the environmental impact of the Foxconn project in Racine County. Evers told the students it is difficult to figure out what the environmental impact of the project will be because the Taiwanese tech giant has shifted focus a number of times. “Foxconn has kind of changed their kind of footprint of what they want to do in southeast Wisconsin,” Evers said…
